This new workshop is an insightful, deeper dive into Embodiment, as a means of knowing yourself better and learning practical and effective techniques for increased awareness and personal change.

Whether you are an experienced yogi or teacher, or just want to learn more about yourself, this workshop will offer you a supportive and richer experience of your own Embodiment.

In the session I will cover the basic Embodiment principles and you will learn:

  • How you express yourself and why it’s so important to your wellbeing
  • Potent Embodiment poses to become clearer on your personal embodiment style and where you are stuck
  • How the four elements (earth, fire, water and air) influence your being, and how you can use them to find balance and freedom of expression
  • Deeper insight into your patterns and edges (expect some juicy a-ha moments!)

Yoga/Sound Bath

A yoga / soundbath is a beautiful marriage of yoga and sound which allows maximum opportunity for a very deep relaxation and very deep and gentle but powerful healing. Having immersed yourself in a lovely yogic stretch, you then have an extended savasana accompanied by the mellow tones of the sound bowl.

The two combine very beautifully as yoga is tailored to prime the body in a way that allows a really deep surrender which is facilitated by the sound bowl. In yoga, the mind slowly gets a chance to start to switch off by moving the focus of the mind to the body, and so by the time the sound bowl start, you can already be in a very deep and restorative space.

It is so difficult to make time for such activity in this day and age. We are so very busy and it is very very hard to make the time to relax, but we need to more than ever. Our bodies are highly charged with stress. Cortisol and adrenaline levels are typically very high which gives rise to further stress and leaves us vulnerable to sickness. Sleep is often difficult to come by. We react to different situations with trauma responses – be it fight, flight, flee or fawn. And in doing so, we deny ourselves, we deny our truth and become less of the person we were meant to be, piece by piece.

Yoga has an innate way of shifting stuck energies, including traumas, from our body and these releases are enhanced by the soundwaves which can shift difficult and stuck energies in a way that is not confrontational. By regular engagement in Yoga Soundbaths, we can gently soften and come into greater balance with ourselves. Yoga Soundbaths are also excellent for the odd occasion to relax, unwind and recharge.

Healing Circle

People have been gathering together in circle for various reasons since the beginning of time and when doing so, healing energy is enhanced exponentially. The earth is crying out for people to connect with the intention of bringing healing to the earth, the galaxies as well as to ourselves and our communities. These aspects of cosmology are exquisitely linked, and the ripple effects from inviting healing to one are felt in the others.

In these standalone sessions (first Friday of the month), we will come with our intentions and embark on a guided meditation accompanied by a drum (sometimes known as a shamanic journey) with the purpose of inviting in such energetic healing and seeking any wisdom we may need to know.

We will be meeting on the first Friday of the month at Natural Fitness Centre. The cost of each session is £15 but discounts are available if you want to book a block of sessions. To book – please contact me by email : helix.healings@outlook.com or WhatsApp on 07957 655663.

Mats will be provided, but you may wish to bring a blanket, cushion, eye-mask (or something to cover your eyes), some water and a pen and paper for any notes.

A wonderful opportunity to receive a deeply relaxing, revitalizing and healing Shiatsu treatment at THE SHIATSU CLINIC in the Beach Studio, at the NATURAL FITNESS CENTRE, on Eastbourne Seafront once a month for an affordable donation.

We would hope that anyone who wishes to receive Shiatsu at one of these clinics pays what they can afford though we would suggest from £15 for half an hour, from £25 for an hour.
