Qigong and Meditation Class

Every Tuesday at 6.30 – 7.45pm at the Natural Fitness and Therapy Centre, except the first Tuesday of every month. Starts Tuesday, 8th October in Studio 2.

Investment

£10 per session or £36 for 4 sessions to use as and when…..Booking is essential, places are limited so the class has no more than 10 participants. Drop in by arrangement only please.

Open to all, no experience necessary.

Qigong and Meditation Class with Nick Neter

“Qi” is life-force energy. “Gong” means nurturing and cultivating.

Together, the two words describe an age-old system anyone can use to cultivate and balance life-force energy, improve health, and create long-lasting wellbeing…

Deeply relaxing and restorative, Qigong is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China.

'It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy (Qi). Qigong practice leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind.

The practice of Qigong includes not only healing exercises and meditations but also any practices that contribute to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance. To cultivate and nurture life is to live in a way that cares for the life around us, all of nature.'

Qigong uses simple, easy-to-follow, effortless movements to nourish the flow of “Qi” or “life-force energy” throughout the body.

The movements are gentle, uplifting, and easy-to-do. We shall simply explore the fundamentals of this amazing holistic and therapeutic exercise system in these early evening sessions starting on Tuesday,8th October.

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and can be done by people of all faith traditions.  With the practice of meditation the mind settles and a sense of ease, tranquillity and joy arise. This can lead to insight and wisdom.

Research increasingly shows that Qigong and Meditation can improve many aspects of health including: coordination, balance and flexibility; posture; general aches and   pain; concentration, wellbeing and general outlook on life.
