Specialist Perinatal Counselling & Psychotherapy

Hello! My name is Mari and I’m a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor specialising in perinatal mental health. I work primarily with mums and mums-to-be, supporting you through the many changes and challenges that having a baby can bring.

Some of the challenges I help people with include:

  • Birth trauma
  • Miscarriage and baby loss
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Body image
  • Post-natal depression / anxiety
  • Loss of identity
  • Parent/child bond

If you are trying to conceive, pregnant, recently postpartum, or at any point in your parenting journey, seeking therapy can support your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Therapy can help to:

  • Improve relationships
  • Create much needed space and time for yourself
  • Increase feelings of happiness and contentment
  • Deepen the connection between you and your child
  • Make sense of what you are going through
  • Process trauma and lessen its impact on daily life

I understand from personal experience the immense shift that can occur before and after your baby arrives, and this is something we often feel woefully unprepared for. Having therapy at any stage of your matrescence can be life changing.

Send me an email to arrange a free 15-minute chat or book your first session.I so look forward to hearing from you. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and support birthing people of all genders and sexualities who are seeking support for fertility treatment, adoption, fostering, pregnancy, and parenting.
